At Our St. Joseph Site
Thanks to All Who Came
Our Summer Festival took place on Sunday, August 26, at our St. Joseph Site. There was great food to celebrate both our Italian and our Latino heritage and even our American cuisine. Some of our folks played cards in a Euchre Tournament while our little ones played lots in our Childrens' Games. Everyone enjoyed the musical entertainment with the Country sounds by JESSE WALKER, great marimba music by RICARDO VASQUEZ and dancers from Mary's School of Dane along with Latino Dancers from our community. The fun and entertainment continued with a wet and wild Dunk Tank that attracted all kinds of enthusiasts, piñatas to explode with goodies, delicious baked goods and famous Mound Bread. During the day, we had a Silent Auction and we capped off a great day with a live auction where we sold an Oldsmobile Alero and two beautiful oil paintings titled “Fire at Sea” and “Winter Berries”. These two paintings along with over 50 others were donated by our parishioner Geraldine Heydn who passed away this past year.
We are most grateful to all our faithful parishioners who worked hard to make our Festival at our St. Joseph Site a wonderful celebration of our community and a big success.
